Rosie Rocket races into Railway

The field for the $1 million Carlton Draught Railway Stakes (1600m) at Ascot on Saturday has been finalised with 16 contenders and two emergencies.

Stayers Mr Moet and Battle Emblem scraped into the field with a rating of 97, the same as first emergency Shamardashing.

Rosie Rocket is the lowest-rated horse in the final field at 96 but gets a four-point allowance for being a mare.

The Steve Wolfe-trained Our Ol’ Fella is second emergency.

Last year’s Railway Stakes winner Luckygray headlines the renewal of the Group 1 feature along with an interstate contingent featuring Fat Al, Wall Street and Yosei.

The Group 1 Crown Perth Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) features a small field of 10.

Local star Barakey will be out to stretch his unbeaten streak to 11 in his clash with the likes of Travinator, Hallowell Belle and Power Princess.
