Warne cops abuse for Twitter selfie
Shane Warne has copped a torrent of abuse on social media channels after posting a revealing selfie on Twitter.
Warne's beer belly is no more with the 44-year-old Australia cricket legend flaunting his new, lean, tanned frame.
He has never been shy, our Warnie but this seems to have been a step too far for most people who woke this morning to cop an eyeful of a near naked Warnie accompanied by, 'Had fun today with the kids & managed to work on the tan too !!! Hahaha'.
Warnie's image has changed over the years from the beer and ciggie loving larrikan who terrifed the Poms with ball in hand into a tanned, supermodel-dating, teeth whitened poker player.
It has been a hard transformation for a lot of cricket fans to take.
But after a summer of Warnie's astute commentary during Australia's clean sweep of the Ashes many had softened their stance on the new Warnie and were falling back in love with the great man.
This might have put a stop to that.
