Fremantle CBC showing they belong

University and Kalamunda continued on their winning ways while Fremantle CBC are catching the eye after round four of WA Amateur A Grade last Saturday.

Top team University travelled to MacDonald Reserve where they were too good for home team Whitford, kicking accurately and winning by 49 points to stay undefeated.

Kalamunda, B Grade premiers last season, won their third in a row by beating Swan Athletic at home by 16 points.

Fremantle CBC also won their third in a row and are winning well after falling to University in round one. CBC doubled Mt Lawley's score at home on Saturday to maintain third place on the ladder.

Fremantle CBC finished low down last season after being promoted from B Grade, and in their previous season in A Grade (2011) they finished bottom.

They are benefiting from having former South Fremantle player Jarrad Winter, who has kicked seven goals, including four in round two and another two against Mt Lawley on Saturday. Winter, 25, played 60 league games for the Bulldogs in seven seasons from 2007-2013.

Reigning premiers Wesley Curtin (fourth) got back on the winners' list in a low-scoring match with North Beach, who are struggling on a 1-3 record.

North Fremantle are dominating B Grade and look on course for a return to A Grade where they have been a powerhouse over many seasons in the past.
