Wellingham free to meet Demons

Midfielder Sharrod Wellingham is free to play in West Coast's round two clash with Melbourne despite being penalised by the AFL match review panel.

Wellingham was found to have tripped Western Bulldog Jason Johannisen in Sunday's clash at Patersons Stadium. But Wellingham was offered a reprimand with an early guilty plea.

Brisbane's Tom Rockliff wasn't as fortunate. He was offered a one-game suspension for rough conduct on Sam Mitchell in the battle with Hawthorn.

Hawk Josh Gibson was cleared of high contact on Lion Michael Close. The panel deemed Gibson was making a legitimate tackle.

Adelaide's Lewis Johnson was also found not to have a case to answer for his contact on Geelong's Steve Johnson.
