Former West Coast coach John Worsfold has been unveiled as one of four new faces on the AFL’s rules of the game committee before the 2014 season.

The 2006 premiership coach joins national umpiring director Wayne Campbell, senior umpiring coach Hayden Kennedy and WA-born former Collingwood player Michael Christian on the new-look panel.

They replace retiring trio Kevin Bartlett, Jeff Gieschen and Rowan Sawers as well as Peter Schwab, who resigned duo to a new role as head of coaching and development at Brisbane.

Former Richmond forward Matthew Richardson was added to the All Australian selection panel in the other administrative announcement from the AFL today.

Worsfold resigned as Eagles coach at the end of last season following more than a decade at the helm.

As well as the rules of the game committee, the 45-year-old has also taken a coach mentoring at his former WAFL club South Fremantle.
