Cox leads way as Eagles get back to work

West Coast hit the track this morning as their preparation for season 2013 ramps up.

The windy conditions at McGillivray Oval were a welcome relief from the heat of last week but played havoc with the back-to-back ball drills.

Several veterans trained with the main group, with All-Australian ruckman Dean Cox impressing.

Ball winner Daniel Kerr, who underwent knee surgery last month, ran laps with the recovery group, which also included troubled forward Murray Newman.

Andrew Gaff and Matt Priddis trained strongly look set to build on their impressive form.

The Eagles kick off their NAB Cup campaign against Fremantle and Geelong on February 16.
