Brown wants out of Eagles nest

West Coast defender Mitch Brown has reportedly asked to be traded so he can head home to Victoria.

It is understood Brown has formally asked for a trade to St Kilda and told Eagles management and coach John Worsfold at the weekend of his plans.

The 23-year-old still has a year to run on his contract and could be part of a deal for the Eagles to land Collingwood midfielder Sharrod Wellingham.

But it appears more likely he could be part of a straight swap for West Australian draft product Jamie Cripps, who wants to return home.

More to come.
