Controversial fashion trend causing stir at French Open
Paris is known as the fashion capital of the world, but a bold new outfit trend is dividing opinion at Roland Garros.
Top players such as Ana Ivanovic, Simona Halep, Tomas Berdych and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga have all donned outfits with black and white zebra stripes.
Check it out in the gallery below:
The players all insist they're happy with the design of Adidas and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto.
"The collection's eye-catching style is inspired by zebra print to evoke a feeling of movement and fluidity," said Adidas.
However the daring choice has been widely panned on social media, with American coach and commentator Brad Gilbert leading the criticism:
Such a strange decision to think the zebra shirt could be worn for whole event let alone 1 match https://t.co/1aZt1gqbJ3

Tsonga took one look at the zebra shirt and said to Baghdatis: 'You got another one of those shirts on you mate?' pic.twitter.com/tVxWwEPt5P

Zverev looks so young and is so pale, that he seems totally lost in this zebra outfit. Also he has a zebra headband. #TheMess #DidasWTH

I'm not buying the zebra trend but then my daughters tell me I have no fashion sense pic.twitter.com/r8pMqMms0l
