Bookie pays out for Fyfe Brownlow

Nat Fyfe has already won the 2015 Brownlow Medal, according to an Australian bookmaker.

CrownBet has opted to pay out on the Fremantle star as the winner of he AFL's fairest and best player award despite 15 rounds left in the home-and-away season.

The six-figure payout applies to all single bets placed on Fyfe to win the 2015 Brownlow Medal before 11:59pm last Tuesday.

“We believe Fyfe is a long way in front of the pack, and given the form he’s in will continue to poll votes,” CrownBet’s chief executive Matt Tripp said.

“He’s had an unbelievable start to the season and it seems a formality that we’d be paying out on him in September anyway, so punters might as well enjoy their cash now.”

“Punters can reinvest on Fyfe if they wish, or can take their money. It’s completely up to them. The cash is in their accounts.”

CrownBet’s Brownlow market remains open, with Fyfe a clear $2.25 favourite from last year’s winner Matt Priddis at $11 and Scott Pendlebury at $13.

Fyfe is also paying $2.50 to score more Brownlow votes this season than every Carlton player combined.
