Shayne Bidwell put his hand up for national selection at the Australian Country Cricket Championships in Queensland this week.

The Wanderers all-rounder was in superb form in WA Country’s opening match of the tournament.

Bidwell claimed figures of 6/43 including three wickets in four balls as WA defeated South Australia Country at West Bundaberg Recreational Ground Three in Queensland on Friday.

Bidwell dismissed South Australia’s opening batsman and then ripped threw their middle order and tailenders.

The speedster bowled 17 overs during the two-day game, five of which were maidens including a rare triple-wicket maiden.
