Players add basketball pizzazz to netball mix

The Kununurra Mixed Netball grand final tonight will prove a sporting vernacular when teams play for the grand final title.

Tuesday night’s games featured a stellar performance with teams coming through to compete in the grand final.

Last week’s games featured three out of four very close matches with only a couple of goals between margins.

A fiery match between Pukana and Killer Bunz resulted in a 33- 10 win to Pukana.

Top A-grade teams Grasspies and Titans last week went head to head in a heated tournament resulting in 31-26 score to Titans.

Both teams progressed to the preliminary round.

Mixed netball president Vanessa Trestrail said Pukana goal attack Andrew Grereo played a great game in the last week.

“He’s one to watch out for in the preliminary and final rounds,” she said.

“He’s quick and there was a bit of basketball play-style last week.”

Grand final winners are set to unfold at the Kununurra netball courts this evening.
