Kerr sits out of Eagles training

West Coast veterans Dean Cox and Darren Glass trained impressively this morning as they joined the main group at McGillivray Oval but there was no sign of star midfielder Daniel Kerr.

The key pair are training mainly away from the main group in a remote program for senior players but will join their teammates on Fridays throughout the pre-season.

Kerr, who is currently training in the rehab group, was not on the track, while youngster Andrew Gaff also left the oval after doing a few ball drills.

Top draftee Brant Colledge watched on from the sidelines after having hip surgery last week but fellow recruits Adam Carter and Mark Hutchings joined in on the session.

Struggling forward Murray Newman continued to spend his time away from the main group, running laps with Eric Mackenzie and Brad Sheppard.

Beau Waters and Adam Selwood also ran laps away from their teammates with Mark Nicoski but Mark LeCras looked sharp as he took part in the main session on his return from a knee reconstruction.
