Hockey star packs hopes for gold and Cup victory

Jyi Connolly said he would be nervous about attacking his first contest during the 2012 Oceania Pacific Cup in Fiji.

Connolly will suit up for Country Australia in the week-long tournament, his first competitive competition since suffering a broken collarbone in September.

The 20-year-old was injured during the Geraldton Hockey Association preliminary final against Australs.

The Yacht Club striker said he worked hard to get his body back into playing condition.

“My shoulder is a little bit weak but I have full movement so that is good,” he said.
