Geraldton will be represented by three surfers at this year’s National Surfing Titles in New South Wales.

Max Marsden, Dimitra Massaros and Leon Norris will all board a plane with the WA team and compete in Port Macquarie.

The Australian Surf Festival begins August 11 and is completed on August 25.

Marsden will compete in the open men’s short board final after finishing second in the State Pro Am Series standings.

He won round two of the event before clinching a spot on the team in round three behind Ryan Wordsworth.

Norris will represent WA in the kahunas over-55s category after also placing second.

He also finished fourth in the legends over 50s division.

Massaros will be embarking on her second National Titles.

She will represent Geraldton and WA in the women’s over 35 category after being crowned State champion during the pro-am series.

The Australian Surf Festival will see more than 400 competitors from around the nation descend on Port Macquarie for a shot at being crowned an Australian champion.

A total of 27 prestigious Australian Titles will be decided across five surfing disciplines.

The Australian Longboard Titles, Australian Surfmasters Titles and Australian Stand Up Paddleboard Titles are just a few of the highlights during the two-week festival.
