Three players scored more than 20 points as the Collie Crane Hire South West Slammers men snapped a two-game losing run by beating Stirling 123-109 on Sunday night.

A massive third quarter, which featured a 34-11 run, set up the win as the Slammers turned a three point half-time lead into a 26-point advantage during a dominant nine minute burst.

Tre Nichols once again top scored, finishing with 25 points, while player-coach Ty Harrelson ended with 22 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

One of those assists provided the highlight of the night as he set up a final quarter alley-oop for Nichols that had the big crowd on their feet with excitement.

Stirling was called for two tech fouls following that play which led to their coach being ejected from the venue.

Brian Voelkel also enjoyed a massive game as he picked up 22 points, 16 rebounds and six assists, including a three-pointer to cap off a night to remember.

Stirling's Tom Witts scored 21 points while Ashley Litterick had 17 and Austin Bruton 16, including three first quarter maximums.

Senators star Jordan Wild was well held, shooting 10 points at just 23 per cent before fouling out.

The Slammers led by nine points at quarter time and three points at half-time before their huge third quarter.

Stirling threatened a comeback when they reduced the 26-point deficit to 18 by three-quarter time and just 12 early in the last but it would be as close as they got.

The Slammers gave court time to all 12 players with 11 of them hitting the scoreboard, including Jordan Sears in his SBL debut.

Sitting third with a 13-3 record, the Slammers now embark on a three-game road trip.
