Soccer trials for this year's QBE country week will be held this weekend, ahead of September's week-long event in Perth.

The annual event attracts more than 1000 players, coaches, volunteers and spectators with round-robin matches held between teams from Peel, the Goldfields, Geraldton, Albany and Bunbury regions, before a final on Friday, October 2.

The tournament is specifically designed for regional players and has three key objectives, including regional championships, identifying talent, and player and coach education.

In 2014, the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Junior Soccer Association took five teams with 75 players to the tournament and they hope to take six teams this year.

Teams will be made up of players from Margaret River, Cowaramup, Vasse, Busselton, Capel and Dunsborough aged 11 to 17 in boys and girls divisions.

Country week trials will start tomorrow from 2.30pm at Churchill Park and will run every Saturday for three weeks.

If you would like to pre-register for trials, email the LNJSA country week co-ordinator atlnjsacountryweek@gmail.com with your details.
