Thousands attend Bunbury dawn service

Thousands of people gathered at Anzac Park in Bunbury for the dawn service as part of the Anzac Day centenary commemorations.

Predictions that a crowd of 5000 would attend were true as people watched from the surrounding streets on two large screens.

The restored Bunbury War Memorial looked magnificent as the service got underway after war veterans and their families marched from the RSL Hall.

Bunbury Men of Song sang Band of Brothers and performed the Australian and New Zealand national anthems.

People laid wreaths to pay their respects to friends and family who have served their country.

The Last Post was performed by Lance Corporal Brett Corkery as people reflected on the sacrifices of the Diggers.

A morning service will be held at the Graham Bricknell Memorial Music Shell after a march from the RSL Hall.
