Machete robbery in Warnbro carpark

Rockingham Detectives are seeking the public’s help with an investigation into an armed robbery at a Warnbro beach carpark on Monday night.

About 11pm, a 42-year-old man was sitting in his Holden utility in the Saint Ives Cove beach carpark, when he was approached by three men with their faces covered, one armed with a machete.

The machete-armed man threatened the victim through the driver’s window, demanding his wallet and phone, while the second offender stole items from the vehicle via the passenger window.

The offenders fled on foot into scrub land on the northern side of the carpark.

The machete-armed man was described as about 35 years old, with dark complexion, approximately 180cm tall, slim build and short brown hair.

The second and third offenders were described as about 25 years old, brown skin, approximately 175cm tall and slim build.
