LEGENDARY Australian comedian Peter Rowsthorn will once again be the face of this year's Comedy for Cure and Care.

The event, which is organised by the Leukaemia Foundation, will be held at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on April 11.

Mr Rowsthorn will be the MC of this year's event which also features fellow Australian comedian Denise Scott, as the headline act, and Matt Dyktynski.

Money raised from the event will help fund a range of free services the Leukaemia Foundation provides for people with blood cancer and their families, as well as research to improve treatments and develop cures.

The Leukaemia Foundation held a launch party at the Lighthouse Beach Resort last Wednesday night.

Leukaemia Foundation community relationships manager Deb Wilkins said she was looking forward to the comedy show.

"The launch was very successful and people are very excited Comedy for Cure and Care is coming to Bunbury for another year," she said.

"We are asking for people to get behind it because as well as seeing some well-known comedians, they will also be helping people in their own communities living with blood cancer."

In the lead-up to last year's show, Rowsthorn revealed he had only performed in Bunbury once before. He has been in the entertainment industry for 30 years and has appeared in the television show Kath and Kim.
