Margaret River's finest are business finalists

Finalists for the Margaret River Regional Business Awards have been released ahead of September's grand final for the local business and tourism community.

With eight professional judges presiding this year, finalists in each category were revealed today.

Some businesses are finalists across a range of categories.

The Business Excellence Award will see eateries Aravina Estate, Morries Anytime, Settlers Tavern and the Larder battle it out.

In the Tourism Excellence Award, Cape-to-Cape Explorer Tours, Howard Park and MadFish Wines, Jarrah Grove Retreat and Southern Skydivers vie for the main gong.In the small business category, Aravina Estate, Cape-to-Cape Explorer Tours, Central Avenue Apartments, Combi Coffee, Howard Park and MadFish Wines, Jarrah Grove Retreat, Margarets Forest, Morries Anytime, Riverglen Chalets, Southern Skydivers, The Larder, The River Trader and Vintages Accommodation.

Other categories for different-sized operators is expected to see fierce competition.Also up for grabs is the $2000 Shire of Augusta-Margaret River Industry Development Prize to be announced on the night, which will feature a cocktail party menu designed by top chef Tony Howell.
