Industry welcomes a new business

Members of the agriculture industry celebrated the opening of Southern Forest Machinery late last month, welcoming the store which offers a range of services and machinery.

The family-owned business is located on the same lot as Outdoor World on South Western Highway.

Its official opening was celebrated with a welcome from dealer principal John Della Gola, a radio broadcast, a sausage sizzle, door prizes and an opening by Warren-Blackwood MLA Terry Redman.

The agriculture machinery business had been operating since February 17 before its official opening on March 28.

“We’re very happy with what’s happening today, it’s a good turn out from the community, ” Mr Della Gola said.

He said once a customer bought at the store, the staff could offer the full package, from service to parts, throughout the life of the machinery purchased.

“We’re a family business and we pride ourselves on family ethics and values, ” he said. The business is located on almost one hectare of land. Mr Della Gola said the space was ideal if the team decided to expand the business.

He also praised a neighbouring business for making the move possible.

“None of this would have been possible without Outdoor World, who have given up some of their space so we could move in, ” Mr Della Gola said.

During his official opening speech, Mr Redman said he applauded the business owners for their preparedness to invest in the region’s agriculture industry.

“Now it’s up to the rest of us to make it worth it by supporting it, ” he said.
