All aboard for Christmas lights tour
Driver John Deverell shows off one of the 'sleighs'

South West Coach Lines’ Merry Fairy Lights Tour returns for a third year, with buses running from 7.30pm-9pm on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

A gold coin donation is all that is needed to secure a seat on the “sleigh”, which takes in some of the best Christmas light displays in Bunbury and Busselton.

All proceeds from the tour are donated to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.

Residents of Bunbury and Busselton put on some spectacular light shows during the festive season and although there are a number of perennial favourites, tour organisers are always on the lookout for new displays.

“Anyone who has decorated their house and would like to be added to the tour route is welcome to contact us,” South West Coach Lines representative Erin O’Neill said.

“Many people put a lot of effort into their Christmas lights and it makes sense to show them off, especially for a good cause like the Salvos.”

The Christmas lights tour has proved popular in previous years, with Busselton alone recording 11 full buses on the two nights last year.

South West Coach Lines hopes to improve on those numbers this year and will endeavour to make as many buses as necessary available — but organisers advised booking was essential.

Tours on both nights depart from Central Bus Station in Bunbury and from 39 Albert Street in Busselton.

To book a spot, or to have a house added to the tour, email or call 9753 7700 with your requested date and the number of people intending to board the bus.
