Caravana rolls into Bridgetown
Caravana rolls into Bridgetown

Bridgetown is keeping the roots music vibe alive and well following the blues festival and next Friday the Cidery will host Sydney band Caravana Sun.

The Cidery is a favourite haunt of the Cronulla based band that has toured the country several times in recent years and will be returning to WA off the back of a European tour and a new single which bass player Ant Beard says perfectly captures where the band is in their career.

“We’re in the middle of creating this live show that really identifies us as a band, and our new single “The Bottle” sums up everything we’re doing at the moment,” Ant said.

“It’s become a real family affair and that includes everyone in our crowds when we’re on tour and everyone we meet along the way. Our one goal is to make music to bring people together.”

Ant said across Europe, a run of 25 shows in a little over a month covering several different countries, they were able to achieve this with completely new audiences.

He said even though they might not have spoken the same language, the music was able to bring everyone on stage and in the crowd together.

“It’s so so nice – you get that cross section of the audience who really dig the music but might not speak the language but the music and the fun we have really translate across.”

Tickets are available at the door.
