Manjimup schools choir sings out

Prepare to experience heaven as Manjimup Primary Schools Choir returns to action.

More than 100 Year 4 to 7 students from Manjimup and East Manjimup primary schools have spent countless hours fine tuning their vocal chords for their return to the Manjimup Town Hall tomorrow night.

“The students have the opportunity to work on musical talent, perform on a public platform and make friendships,” East Manjimup deputy principal Robyn Harrington said.

East Manjimup Year 6 student Courtney Hampton joined the choir this year and said she enjoyed performing to an audience.

“I get pretty nervous even though I’ve been in other choirs before,” she said.

“It’s fun because you can sing with your friends and it’s a nice peer group.”

Bree Rowe, 12, hopes for a career in singing and said joining the school choir was the first step to achieving her dream.
