UFC legend Ortiz set for Port Kennedy appearance

Ultimate Fighting Championship legend Tito Ortiz will give a special presentation at a Port Kennedy gym next week.

A hall of fame inductee and former world champion, Ortiz will speak about his UFC career and take questions from fans at Non-stop 24-hour Fitness on Thursday, November 15 from 6 to 8pm.

Tickets are $60 for gym members and $80 for non-members, with fans to have the opportunity to meet the 37-year-old.

Ortiz debuted at UFC 13 in 1997 and went on to become one of the sport’s most decorated fighters.

He retired in July with a professional record of 28 wins, 16 of which came by way of knockout.

Known as the Huntington Beach Bad Boy, he successfully defended the Light Heavyweight title on five occasions and was perhaps most well-known for his bouts against fights with Chuck Liddell, Forrest Griffin and Ken Shamrock.

While in Perth, Ortiz will also conduct a three-hour training seminar in Craigie followed by dinner on November 17.
