Bannister Downs Dairy owners Sue and Matt Daubney are happy about their company’s success at the Perth Royal Show.

A Northcliffe dairy has proved it is the cream of the crop by claiming a host of awards at the Perth Royal Show.

Bannister Downs Dairy won 11 prestigious prizes,m including champion flavoured product for its chocolatte flavoured milk and champion product for its double cream.

Dairy owner Sue Daubney said it was validation for all the hard work put in by her 70 staff.

‘‘This goes to show companies from the South West can take on the best in the industry and do well,’’ she said.

‘‘I pay tribute to all our staff who work tirelessly to ensure we maintain the highest standards possible.

‘‘These awards are a testament to how hard everybody has worked as a team.’’

Mr and Mrs Daubney established Bannister Downs Dairy seven years ago as a means of overcoming falling milk prices, which were taking a heavy financial toll on their dairy business.

Their focus on getting high end dairy products onto supermarket shelves has proved successful with shoppers, winning them a bevvy of top industry accolades in recent times.

The dairy also won gold at this year’s Perth Royal Show for their fresh milk, fresh cream and chocolatte and silver for their all light milk, mango smoothie, spearmint blitz and cafe au lait.

‘‘We get alot of feedback, particularly from teenage boys, who love the taste of our flavoured milk,’’ Ms Daubney said.

‘‘We have a lot of confidence in our brand and some exciting new product lines coming through so we’re feeling optimistic about what is in store for the future.’’
