High-flying stunt is a winner
Megan Pozzi’s photo of a freestyle motocross stunt got the most votes in the action round of the Manjimup Bridgetown Times photography competition.

A dramatic mid-air freestyle motocross stunt was spectacular enough to be the winning photo in the action round of the Manjimup Bridgetown Times photography competition.

Megan Pozzi’s photo of a seat grab indy on a YZ 250 got the most votes against a line up of high calibre images depicting a number of other action moments from horse riding to surfing.

Ms Pozzi wins 50 free prints and a half price enlargement courtesy of competition sponsors McCays Home and Computer Centre and said she was surprised to win.

‘‘I’d just got a new camera and I was trying it out at Starkies Road where my partner Wayne was practising freestyle motocross for the Perth Royal Show,’’ she said.

‘‘Photography’s always been an interest of mine and I was happy with this shot as soon as I saw it on the camera’s display screen.’’

All the previous winners will now be uploaded to the Manjimup Bridgetown Times Facebook page, where they will be available for viewing and liking.

To vote for your favourite photo email the name of the photographer to before midnight on Monday.

The photographer with the most votes will be named the overall winner and will win 100 free prints and $100 in Retravision vouchers from McCays.
