Former Aqwest chief executive Geoff Oddy has been appointed temporary chief executive of Busselton Water.
Board chairwoman Helen Shervington told the Times Mr Oddy, who is retired in Dunsborough, would serve in the role until they could find a permanent replacement for Keith White, who resigned in June.
She said there was no news on a replacement for recently resigned board member David McDonald, with that decision at the discretion of Water Minister Bill Marmion.
Meanwhile, a petition by the Keep Busselton Water Pure Group calling for a parliamentary inquiry into the chlorination of Busselton’s water supply will be tabled in the Legislative Council by South West MLC Adele Farina on August 21.
KBWPG vice-chairwoman Diana Michaels said they currently had 4300 signatures on the petition, which would be available to sign until August 18.
Ms Michaels said the group had also prepared a guide to writing a victim impact statement for people to express how they had been affected by chlorination of Busselton’s water supply.
