Lucky escape for mother, child
A 4WD ploughed into a Dalyellup home this afternoon

A four wheel drive has ploughed into a Dalyellup home leaving extensive damage but the male driver has escaped with minor injuries.

Ashlee Gentry and her 19- month-old son were home at the time of the crash at about 3pm.

Ms Gentry said she heard a "huge bang" and her son screamed.

"It was lucky we weren't in the theatre room but we could have been'" she said.

The young mother said the driver, in his 40s, stumbled out of the car and was "out of sorts" but not seriously injured.

The driver was taken to Bunbury Regional Hospital.
