A 12-year-old Warnbro boy will appear in court for allegedly damaging areas of Soldiers Park in Collie, outraging the community prior to Anzac Day memorial services.
Police allege that between April 13 and 17 the entry and toilet block were damaged by graffiti, causing $5000 damage.
The damage upset the local community which was preparing to host Anzac Day celebrations at the park.
Yesterday a boy was questioned by Rockingham Police after he was arrested on an unrelated matter.
He has received a court summons for one count of stealing and two counts of criminal damage.
