Ticket sales are going through the roof for the Manjimup-Bridgetown Times Masquerade Ball at the Town Hall on Saturday night.
The glamorous gathering,which starts at 7pm, is a fundraiser for Telethon, the charitable trust dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people throughoutWA.
Manjimup-Bridgetown Times branch manager Michelle Di Salvo promised the ballwould be a night to remember.
‘‘There will be delicious canapes served by students from Manjimup Senior High School, as well as local wines and all the usual beers and soft drinks served by members of the RSL Club,’’ Mrs Di Salvo said.
‘‘On the entertainment side, we’ve got the fantastic Table 4 Two Trio and Manjimup Jazz Ensemble providing some brilliant livemusic and we’ll also have aDJ spinning throughout the evening.
‘‘You can expect a fun-filled evening,with a silent auction offering some amazing prizes from our generous sponsors including a mountain bike courtesy of the West Australian Newspaper, an accommodation voucher for Karri Valley Resort and lots of incredible wines and meal packages.’’
The Paparazzi Photo Booth is coming from Bunbury to give guests the opportunity to immortalise their memories of the night in exchange for a gold coin donation to Telethon.
Additional prizes will up for grabs for the most impressive mask of the evening as well as the funkiest dancer.
Tickets are still available for $40 from the Manjimup-Bridgetown Times office and masks are available from Southern BelleBoutique in Manjimup and CostumeMagic in Bridgetown.
‘‘If you buy your ticket in advance you also get a complementary drink, so don’t delay as they’re selling like hot cakes and could runout at any minute,’’ Mrs Di Salvo said.
‘‘We hope the community will support us by joining in with what is sure to be a spectacular night out to raise money for Telethon.’’
