Teenage glam-rockers Sisters Doll were among hundreds of aspiring artists at the Australia’s Got Talent auditions at the Lord Forrest Hotel this week.
The band, consisting of Collie brothers Brennan, 18, Bryce, 16, and Austin Miletto, 13, were dressed up and ready to go before performing in front of judges.
Sisters Doll were modest about their chances of following in the footsteps of last year’s winners, Justice Crew, in becoming winners of the fifth Australia’s Got Talent.
'‘We’re just trying to get through this stage and hoping to get on TV,’’ vocalist and oldest sibling Brennan Miletto said about the auditions.
‘‘If we could get on TV once that will just help for promotion and for fans and stuff like that.
‘‘But we’re just doing it for the experience and the fun.’’
The trio has only been together for two years but won their first award last month in Perth.
They took out the Ampfest competition, winning six days of recording time at Soundbaker Recording Studios.
They hope to use the time to record their debut album in December to be ready to sell early next year.
Sisters Doll got their name from two of their favourite bands, Twisted Sister and the New York Dolls.
With very few glam-rock bands around at the moment, the Miletto siblings are hoping to catch the eye of the judges.
‘‘We’re trying to do the whole glam thing because there’s not much glam around these days,’’ he said.
‘‘We’re just trying to bring the glam back with a bit of originality in there as well.’’
The boys played their own song Isabella before a Led Zeppelin tune upon request.
All successful contestants will move on to the next round in December, with viewers deciding the eventual $250,000 winner.
