Clontarf breakfast hailed a success

More than 130 students, teachers, parents and guardians attended the Karratha Clontarf Partner Training and Open Breakfast.

More than130 students, teachers, parents and guardians attended the Karratha Clontarf Partner Training and Open Breakfast earlier this month.

Former Bulldogs AFL player Chris Grant led a training session where the boys had the opportunity to participate in a number of activities with teachers and corporate partners, followed by a community barbecue at the clubrooms.

Clontarf operations officer Michael Goss said it was heartening to see a healthy mix of partners, teachers, parents, guardians and students in attendance.

"The boys were thrilled that such an AFL legend would join them … and it was great to see partners and teachers getting involved in the drills," he said.

"The most brilliant aspect of the day was the positive attitude of the boys who have embraced the program and are critical to its ongoing success.

"We were thrilled with their enthusiastic response to the morning and are hoping to make this a regular event."

Mr Goss said the occasion also marked the naming of Clontarf Academy's new corporate partnership with Spotless.

"The chairwoman of Spotless, Margaret Jackson, spoke glowingly about the benefits of this relationship for her company and the Clontarf academy in the years ahead," he said.

"We would like to thank and acknowledge everyone who donated their time to help on the day and all those involved in the Karratha Clontarf Academy - students, partners, teachers, parents and community members."
