Meth and cannabis found in vehicle

A Pilbara man will appear in court facing drug charges after a police search of his vehicle.

Broome police stopped the vehicle on Florence Way in Blue Haze on February 24 as part of an ongoing operation to target illicit drugs and their supply within the Broome sub-district.

Broome police Sergeant Paul World said six grams of methamphetamine were seized, along with a quantity of cannabis and several other items of interest.

The man has been charged with drug-related offences including possessing methamphetamines with intent to sell or supply and possession of cannabis.

He has also been charged with unlawful possession of $1300 cash and a number of driving offences.

Sgt World said police were always actively targeting drugs coming into the town and encouraged the community to come forward with any information.

"Police continue to seek any information from the public for the illegal supply and sale of drugs within Broome and its surrounding districts," Sgt World said.

"Feel free to come forward, give us the information.

"Any information given by the public is kept confidential and a person's identity will be protected."
