Crazy Horses gallop to big win

A strong performance from Crazy Horses resulted in a 10-3 win against Pilbara Special in the second round of the Hedland Touch Association summer season.

Piripi Hunia, Bianca Brown and Debbie Hardaker played well for Pilbara Specials while John Matiah scored for Crazy Horses.

Tu Meke worked hard for their win over Hornets to win by three points.

Steele Viti and Murray Deguera did most of the scoring for Tu Meke while River Colman and Jared Ahlers were among those who scored a point each for Hornets.

Conquerors had an easy 10-point win over Starbursts (12-2), leading at half-time by five points.

Bilal Rashidi and Fatullah Rempton had a great on-field performance for Starbursts with young Jake Learoyd also scoring for the team.

Although the team played well, there was a standout effort from Mathias and Shaq Levi for the Conquerors.

Rusty Pipes lost to Nads four to seven with Karl Buckland one of the best for the winning side.

Ben Sargood and Kate Dempster played well for Rusty Pipes.

Turtles started their season after having a bye in the first round.

They fired in their first game with a close win over Bad Touch, winning by just one point.

The Turtles team are a mix of old and new players, with Kavel Van Ryjsinge and Leanne Morrison producing a great game.

Hailey Brockman was a standout for the Bad Touch.

MPM had a big win over Jaytrain, winning 16-3.

Jayden Sante and Rosie Van Wingerden stood out for MPM, with Adam Fuller and Leigh Irwin scoring high for the team.

Jesse Miller, Zafarani Rapie and Ashley Weyer were the better players for Jaytrain.
