Kids ready for spirited egg hunt

Port Hedland's biggest Easter egg hunt will be held this Saturday at Gratwick Aquatic Centre.

The annual Spirit 1026 Children's Easter Egg Hunt and Pool Party will run from 10am to 1pm.

There will be games, prizes and giveaways and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny.

"It's going to be an awesome day out - can't wait to see the families and community groups coming together for a great day out," Spirit 1026 announcer Matthew Layton said.

"This is my first Easter Egg Hunt and Pool Party here in Hedland.

"I'm looking forward to join in the festivities.

"I've been avoiding chocolate for months in preparation for this event.

"I will win the most Easter Eggs - oh wait, I've been told I can't participate… darn."

The free event will also feature plenty of food and drinks for youngsters.

For primary school-aged children, each child must be accompanied by an adult, with each adult responsible for a maximum of five children.

The Easter egg hunt will take place at about 11am.
