Police still concerned for missing Hedland man
A missing South Hedland man was reportedly sighted in Broome on Monday, but police remain concerned for his well-being.
Lindsay Edward Judas, 55, had not been seen since February 8, when he was seen driving in Wedgefield, believed to be headed towards Broome on a fishing trip.
Later that day he was recorded on closed-circuit television accessing his bank accounts at an ATM in Broome.
Mr Judas failed to turn up for work last Thursday, and has not been in contact with his family or work mates since.
His bank account has not been accessed since February 8.
A female witness claims to have approached Mr Judas in Broome on Monday, after mistaking him for a friend.
South Hedland police Senior Sergeant Mick Hayes said police were confident the sighting was Mr Judas, however he had been described as “dishevelled and vacant”.
Sen. Sgt Hayes said police were focusing their efforts around Broome, and remained concerned for the 55-year-old’s welfare.
Mr Judas is described as being fair skinned, about 185cm tall with a solid build, with white sandy hair and glasses.
He drives a white Nissan Navara with the distinctive number plate of LXXXXJ.
