Appeal supports those in need during season
Bishop Christopher Saunders.

Bishop of Broome Christopher Saunders is appealing to the community to show support to the needy this Christmas.

Each year, the Bishop’s Christmas Appeal is launched to help disadvantaged people in the community to celebrate Christmas.

The Broome Catholic Diocese organises a collection of dry and tinned food and other non-perishable goods which are distributed to families in need.

Donations can be made at the presbytery of Our Lady Queen of Peace Cathedral, St Vincent Pallotti, Centacare or the local supermarkets.

Bishop Saunders said last year’s appeal was a great success and more than 60 hampers were delivered. He said the appeal was an opportunity for locals to support people in need at this special time of the year.
