Galahs stung by Hornets

Round 2 of the 2012 Kununurra Netball Association season got under way last Thursday with a series of strong wins and some tight tussles.

Hornets were again unstoppable against Galahs.

A sketchy second quarter from the Galahs saw Hornets get eight goals up and settle into their usual dynamic game, winning comfortably by 12.

Bastion Bullets continued their improving form, beating Pineapples by eight.

The Grasshoppers were never a challenge for the force of the Bandicoots, who ran away with a huge 59-point win. Pink Diamonds settled into a consistent game plan and easily beat the Rejected Geckos by 21.

Stormers continue to mount pressure on the top A-grade teams with their win over the Jets and are expected to display some tough encounters with the top three sides in coming weeks.
