Man still missing off Albany coast
Police remain concerned about the welfare of a 33-year-old man who has been missing off the coast of Albany since last Thursday.
James William Norman was last seen wearing shorts and swimming off the rocks in the Dunsky Beach to Shelley Beach area in the West Cape Howe National Park about 3.15pm.
Police say he had intended to meet a friend back at Shelley Beach after a swim, but never returned.
An extensive air and land search began at first light on Friday, morning but was suspended at midday because due to conditions were being too dangerous for volunteers on foot.
State Emergency Service volunteers, Albany Sea Rescue, Surf life Saving Emergency Response Team and police have been unsuccessfully searching for Mr Norman since Friday.
The land and sea search began again on Saturday but was suspended on Sunday afternoon.
Albany police acting officer-in-charge Sergeant Nathan Parkey said it was possible Mr Norman might have got a lift from the area or might have been seen leaving on foot.
Mr Norman is described as having a fair complexion, about 175cm tall, of slim build, with blonde coloured short hair and hazel eyes.
