Star forward Todd Coran is among three additions to Kambalda's team for tonight's Goldfields Football League clash with Kalgoorlie.

Coran, Clint Sands and Jamie Hayes come into the side for the clash at league headquarters as the Eagles seek a return to top form against a winless Kalgoorlie.

But while Kambalda are favourites, coach Justin Tarasinski is mindful of his players' struggles to put together four consistent quarters.

"We're going into this one fully expecting they (Kalgoorlie) will play the game like it's a final," he said.

"If they lose, they go three games back and if they win, they're one game out of the four.

"We won't be going in with a disrespectful attitude, based on how they have performed so far."

Kambalda claimed the scalp of defending premiers Railways in round 4, but have not won since.

"I thought we came up against a pretty good Mines Rovers in round 5 and were missing some key runners, but that's the nature of the beast out here (in Kambalda) due to work rosters," Tarasinski said.

"After last weekend (against Boulder), I want the players to understand our best is good enough, but we just need to play that consistent football for longer.

"The fact is, we haven't had a full four-quarter effort yet, even in the games we've won."

In Kalgoorlie's camp, Eddie Ryder and Sebastian Wellstead are expected to undergo fitness tests, but the bulk of the squad should stay the same.

Coach Brendon Simpson lamented the Roos' slow start on the breeze last weekend against Mines Rovers.

"We absolutely flaunted it (first use of the breeze) which effectively meant the five goals they (Mines Rovers) kicked against it was worth double," he said.

"Our list, that's quantity and quality compared to the rest of the teams, well, we're probably at the back of the pack.

"Footy nous is something which takes time to build, but fitness and commitment is something we can turn around quickly."
