Ramelius hopeful of extension after drilling

Gold miner Ramelius Resources is hopeful of extending the mine life at its Coogee project near Kambalda with drilling in the coming months.

Mining began at Coogee last August and Ramelius announced earlier this month it had completed the small-scale open pit under budget.

Ramelius’ Burbanks mill near Coolgardie is forecast to process 7000oz from Coogee in the March quarter at total cash costs of about $1000/oz.

Ramelius managing director Ian Gordon said the company was hopeful and had picked up ground north of the pit, which it expected to work on in early April.
