Toys can be the bane or the blessing of every parent’s existence. Children are either bored quickly or entertained for hours – if it’s the right toy.
The Goldfields Regional Toy Library aims to take the headache out of toy shopping by offering more than 1000 toys for hire to members.
This Sunday the Toy Library’s annual membership fee will be even cheaper as the service holds its yearly open day.
Library publicity officer Jonathan Smalley said the open day would showcase all the toys for hire and there would be a range activities to entertain the children.
“Angie the Fairy will be on hand to do face painting and parents are welcome to learn more about how the service works,” he said.
Toy hire is free for members and the annual membership fee, which is normally $90, will be reduced to $70 for the open day. The Toy Library open day is on this Sunday from 9am to noon at the Family Training Institute on Wilson Street – approaching Federal Road.
