Kalgoorlie-Boulder shoppers braved busy conditions and sweltering heat over the weekend as they stocked up before Christmas.
Shopping bags full of last-minute purchases were in abundance on Hannan Street.
Trade was not affected by the mercury, edging close to 40C on Saturday.
Natalie O’Neill travelled from Katanning to see her newborn grandson for the first time, and picked up some gifts for the rest of her grandchildren.
“Shopping for your grandkids is the best, it’s like getting to buy presents for your kids all over again,” she said.
