Carols by campfire at Boulder short-stay
Carols by campfire at Boulder short-stay

Carols by Campfire Light will be held at the Boulder short-stay facility next week, bringing Christmas celebrations to those in need.

Organised by CHEAFS Aboriginal Corporation, the Red Cross and BEGA Garnirringu, a free Christmas dinner and carol song night will be held next Thursday.

Santa Claus will also be on hand to deliver presents to children.

CHEAFS Aboriginal Corporation chief executive Jason Dimer said a number of local bands would perform, hopefully drawing a good crowd to the event.

“My father ran (a Christmas event) many years ago,” he said. “I remember that it was at Hammond Park and it was a similar thing, just without the carols."

Parents are encouraged to contact CHEAFS on 0421 100 767, BEGA on 9022 5500, or the Red Cross on 9026 1605 to ensure their child is listed on Santa’s gift registry.
