Car up for grabs at charity event

A Toyota Corolla worth $26,492 will be up for grabs at the Kalgoorlie Golf Course for a charity event tomorrow.

The second Bankwest Charity Golf Day, raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, will have the car as the big prize for a hole-in-one on the fourth hole.

The prize, donated by Goldfields Toyota, will be available for the 20 teams set to compete in the charity event.

RFDS general manager for marketing and communication Nick Harvey, who will be among those teeing off, said the event is a chance to rally more support for the organisation.

“I think it is a perfect opportunity to promote the Royal Flying Doctor Service with the community,” he said. “Not just with the public, but with the business community.”

Registration for the event begins at 7.30am, with a breakfast before tee-off at 9am.
