Accident victim flown to RPH

A 29-year-old man is in critical condition in Royal Perth Hospital after being hit by a car in Kalgoorlie-Boulder on Monday night.

The man was hit by a Ford Falcon ute travelling north on Goldfields Highway, near Hannan Street, about 7.20pm.

Sergeant Russell Chamberlain said the 58-year-old driver was then confronted by a group of people.

“It appears the pedestrian has crossed over the guard railing and been struck by the vehicle,” he said.

“The driver has then been confronted by associates of the pedestrian, which has caused him to drive down the road, where he called for an ambulance and police.”
