Win over Olympians puts CBC in top spot

CBC moved into outright top-spot after overcoming a gallant Olympians in the latest round of men’s Division 1 basketball.

The win was set up on the back of a superb individual performance from Nathan Botting, who top-scored with 24 points in the 71-66 victory.

While Botting was the best for the victors, he received wonderful back-up from Miles Tierney (14) and Giants big man Lordan Franich (10).

Olympians’ Dillon Judd was his side’s standout, scoring 25 points, while Jimmy Bowler (15) and Oliver Dzuibak (14) fought on.

CBC’s win was their second in as many games following a resounding 99-71 victory against Saints in competition mid-week.

Miles Tierney was in breathtaking form on his way to a magnificent 40 points, while Tane Moran contributed 26 in the easy victory. Scott Palmer (28) and Jamie Crombie (17) tried hard for Saints.

In the division’s other fixture, The Franchise returned to the winners’ list with a spirited 71-59 win over Magic.
