Sundowner celebrates arts space
The Chunky Timber Co is holding a sundowner and art exhibition in celebration of its newly expanded showroom.
The company has almost finished restoring its top floor, which will be used as a gallery for local artists.
Artist Adele Workman-Davies will be displaying her 30-40 art works at the Sundowner on November 23.

Owner Kim Gent said he had moved his business from place to place, but he was finally happy with its location at 397 Hannan Street.
“It’s good to be able to give other artists their own space and give them a chance as well,” he said.
“I want to do this for the rest of my life. It’s my passion and it’s just good to be able to give a little bit back.”
