Child safety march

Boulder Primary School will host a march this week in a bid to raise awareness about child safety.

Students will take to the streets on Friday to raise money for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.

An assembly will be held in the afternoon, at which students will hear from special guests including representatives from WA Police, St John ambulance and Bega Garnbirringu.

This will be followed by a parade through Wittenoom, Brookman, Burt and Hamilton streets. Teacher Mary-Jane Crutchley said students would wear red for a gold coin donation to the foundation, with the local community and shopkeepers also encouraged to join in.

“We want to raise awareness about child protection, cyber safety and street smarts,” Ms Crutchley said.
